Medical Tourism is the phenomenon of Americans, Canadians and Brits saving thousands of dollars by seeking treatment in emerging health markets.  The globalization of health care means more competition and better quality at better prices.  Foreign hospitals and doctors welcome the rise of medical tourism, but not America’s hospitals and medical communities.  India America Global Solutions, Ltd. and other facilitators have developed to help market the services of foreign providers.  None, however, have the particular expertise IAG Solutions has, as our founder and client services director have both undergone treatment in India and know the territory.

India is one of the world’s leading health care providers. It is also a country undergoing fast paced infrastructural developments and technological advancements.

English, the official language is widely spoken through out the country and the people are extremely friendly and helpful. India, before the British invasion was popularly known as the “jewel of the east”. It was rich in gold, spices and silk. Now it is a major destination for shoppers as well.

One can find anything to everything they are looking for to satisfy their individualistic artistic tastes and that too at very affordable prices. India is well known for its intricately designed handicrafts reflecting its rich culture from the past centuries.

Indian cuisine varies from region to region. Every region has its own delicacies and specialties with a distinct taste and flavor. Dining in Indian restaurants abroad cannot quite prepare one for the experience of eating Indian food in India, as the food is inextricably particular to a place. Indian cuisine vastly reflects the multilayered culture that fascinates every visitor and it changes as you move between each neighborhood, town and state.

India is a country where you will find a mixture of all cultures, races, languages, food, etc. From north to south and east to west the people are diverse, the languages are varied, the customs are distinctive and the landscape is quite varied.

There is a vast variation in the standards of living as well. While you are in India you will see areas that are very poor and deprived but you will also see rich and lavish lifestyles in terms of houses, cars, night clubs and restaurants particularly in major cities such as Delhi, the national capital and Mumbai.

India’s glorious diversity can make it a veritable experience when planning itineraries. If you want to see places of worship, there is an astonishing array of sacred sites like the Buddhists Stupas and the famous Ganges River.

If it is history you’re after then there are countless monuments, battle scarred forts, abandoned cities and ancient ruins all of which have their tales to tell.

If it is simply relaxation for the body, or the mind that you are looking for, there are plenty of beach resorts, yoga retreat spots, meditation camps, body rejuvenating centers. If you wanted to have some quiet time there is always the highest mountain range in the world – The Himalayas with numerous hill stations to cleanse your mind. Shimla is a particularly colorful hill station in the foothills.

Basically traveling through India is going to be exactly what you make of it. It is a journey that is impossible to define, because it is so different for everyone. But the one thing for sure is that no matter where you go or what you do, it is a place you will never forget. It is Incredible India!
